Riding JAMFund Grand Fundo!

The JAM Fund is an annual ride and fund raiser put together by Jeremy Powers, Alec Donahue, Mukunda Feldmen and the rest of the JAM Fund team. The ride is very well attended and supports the development of young talent towards becoming not only fast racers, but well-adjusted athletes. It also serves as the natural tipping point for cyclocross racers to start actively preparing for cross season – which includes Dave and I. So we loaded up for a hard day of mixed-road riding in Western Mass with several hundred fanatics on cross and road bikes, and had a blast. Dave and I rode at the front (mostly because we left the feedzones early) and partnered with former Canadian Olympian Lynne Bessette as we chose a hybrid of the shorter Fundo / longer Hundo loop, and netted 68 miles with 6000 feet of climbing on some of the most challenging paved and dirt roads in all of New England.

The ride is also known for the incredible pig-roast afterwards, with plenty of food and drinks for everyone as they share war stories from the adventure. This is a highly recommended ride for everyone.
